The 9 most impressive medieval warriors are: 9)Swordmen, 8)Janissary,7)Billmen,6)Pikemen,5)Knights Templer,4)Crossbowmen,3)Housecarls,2)Cataphract,1)Longbowmen.

The first is #9 Sworwmen,

Swordsman also called “Gentlemen Soldiers.” Every single swordsman had to swear a solemn vow. These ‘Gentlemen Soldiers” were located in The Middle Ages.These medieval soldier were some of the lowest grade of soldiers.






Next is #8 Janissary,

Janissary

Janissaries wore uniforms. They were pad like regular soldiers, in cash. In the first beginning of these medieval warriors were excellent archers. In close combat, or melee, The Janissaries used axes and sabers.





Now #7 Billmen,
Billmen
Billmen
Billmen were armed with a weapon known as a bill. The bill that the billmen yielded was a shafted weapon with a curved beak-like blade on the top.


Next are #6 The Pikemen,

Pikemen

The Pikmen often carried a 15 ft. to 18 ft. long pike, which they would cut down 1 or 2 feet to make it more manageable. These Pikemen also carried a Short Sword if their pike would break, for example.

Now are #5 the Knights Templar,
Knights Templar were also called “Warrior Monks”. They were armed jus as any other knights. Which means they had a double edged sword a 13 feet long lance, made of ash wood. Their shield was a long, kite, or triangular shield.

Next are #4 Crossbowmen,
Crossbowmen are specially trained soldiers that are equipped with a crossbow. They are far more accurate, deadly, and sharper than the average archer. They were far more effective at killing armored units.

Now are #3 Housecarls,

Housecarls were very well trained dangerous soldiers. They were usually equipped with a very big heavy shield. Their weapon of choice was a double-handed axe. It was sometimes said that a housecarl could decapitate an enemy horse with a single blow of his axe.


Next are #2 The Cataphract,

Cataphracts were nearly the same thing as a knight, but they weren’t Christian. They were armed almost the exact same, they fought the same way but like I said they were NOT Christians. In order to be a knight you had to be a Christian, so for those who were not Christians they were given the name of Cataphract.




Finaly The Longbowmen,
The Long Bowmen were dominant in the age that they were in. The age that they were in was 1250-1450 AD. The draw length completly was depended on the man himself. It depended on the man because he could only draw back as far as to his chest or cheek.
